My 18 month old!

18 month well child went great! She is a happy, healthy 1 1/2 year old!
  • Weighed 22 lbs 2 ounces (10-25th percentile)
  • 32 1/2 inches tall (75th percentile)
Her doctor stated she is "very active" (like I didn't know already) as she is destroying the room and I am literally sweating trying to listen and keep her safe!

She can say with purpose:
  • dadoggie (doggie): All. The. Time. In reference to anything that isn't human (bird, flower, the moon, and of course dogs!).
  • But-n (button): Belly button. She says this almost as much as doggie. And has no shame in shows mine to complete strangers.
  • Daba (baby): in reference to any child (young or old) and herself
  • Diapur (diaper)
  • Thar (star)
  • Gin (again): usually when daddy is tickling her
  • Bye: whenever she is ready to leave or is play talking on the phone; never to actually say goodbye to me or anyone else
  • Ball: anything sphere shaped
  • Cheeeese: in reference to a camera, not the food
  • She also occasionally says cat, square and duck, but only if she's in the mood.
  • Says many other things I have yet to decipher.
She understands more than I can even imagine and it grows everyday. I’m starting to have to be careful with what I say. Bath, outside and eating are hot topics around our house. She knows what each one means and I must be ready to do whatever has been said or a meltdown will soon follow.

Lammy is still her best friend and he goes pretty much everywhere she goes, and sometimes places that she doesn’t (like out the doggie door into the dirt, in the trashcan and into the shower Daddy was taking). He also eats everything she eats and drinks everything she drinks! Thank gosh he is machine washable!

She is wearing mostly 18 month clothes and pajamas (mainly for length). My new love in life is adjustable waist jeans. Whoever invented them must have had a tall skinny child like mine! Genius I tell ya. She’s also wearing size 5 shoes.

She sleeps about 12 hours at night and takes one (1 ½ - 2 ½ hr) nap a day.

She’s a monkey. A mountain goat.  A climber. On anything. Everything in our house is locked down with either bungee cords, actual latches or gates or just hidden away. It’s a little ridiculous. Visitors can’t figure out how to sit at our dining room table. I swear she could scale a wall if she wanted. Anytime she figures out how to climb on something she knows she shouldn’t I hear her squeal with delight from wherever she is doing said climbing. And she always waits until I leave the room for laundry or an actual bathroom break by myself (gasp!).

I feel my attempt at 18 month pictures was a complete fail. This was the best one of her pulling the hair off the monkey's head and throwing her shoe at me. My dear friend April, promised to take some this weekend, so hopefully I'll be posting new ones sometime soon!
